Shaun McRae has a selection headache ahead of the visit of Castleford, his 400th game in charge of the Reds.
Youngster Stefan Ratchford played in the centre during last week's defeat at Celtic Crusaders, but could switch back to his favoured position in the halves with Jordan Turner likely to be fit again.
However, that could mean Richie Myler or Jeremy Smith missing out on a start.
The only change to the 19-man squad sees Steve Nash return to replace Andrew Thornley.
Another star youngster Luke Adamson, who celebrated his new three-year contract with the first try in last weekend's game in Bridgend, is looking forward to returning to winning ways.
"Everybody was frustrated with how things went in Wales," he said. "We weren't clinical enough with our execution of skill.
"We should not have gone from beating Saints to losing against Celtic and we have to bounce back this Friday."
Castleford have added prop Ryan Boyle and threequarter James Ford to the 17 that defeated Hull FC 40-18 at the Jungle.
The latter replaces Brett Sherwin, who had a minor setback the day before last week's game and does not come into consideration this week.
"We are assessing things week by week but don't think that it is anything major," coach Terry Matterson said.
Injured pair James Evans and Sione Faumuina are again sidelined.
Salford 19-man squad: Wilshere, Henry, Littler, Turner, McGilvray, Smith, Ratchford, Cashmere, Alker, Stapleton, Adamson, Sidlow, Swain, Paul, Walton, Leuluai, Jewitt, Nash, Myler.
Castleford 19-man squad: Owen, Dixon, Shenton, Wainwright, Chase, Sargent, Hudson, Huby, Ferres, Clayton, Westerman, Jones, Higgins, Feather, Boyle, Netherton, Ford, McGoldrick, Widders.
