Sam Burgess produced another dynamic display as South Sydney Rabbitohs recorded a second successive landslide victory in the NRL.
Loose forward Burgess was influential as Souths followed up their opening-round demolition of Sydney Roosters with a 48-6 hammering of Newcastle Knights.
It is the most points the Rabbitohs have scored in the opening two rounds in their 109-year history.
The Rabbitohs had winners all over the park with playmakers Luke Keary and Cody Walker in the thick of the action and winger Aaron Gray crossing for a hat-trick of tries, while Burgess made a team-leading 149 metres.
Six unbeaten teams remain after the opening two rounds including Melbourne Storm, who recorded a convincing 34-16 win over Gold Coast Titans on Sunday.
The Storm outscored the Titans six tries to three with centre Will Chambers grabbing a double.
Melbourne's win came without Test full-back Billy Slater, who pulled out prior to kick-off and will undergo surgery on the shoulder that ruined his season last year.
South Sydney, Brisbane Broncos, Canterbury Bulldogs, Canberra Raiders and Wests Tigers are the other unbeaten sides.
England international Jack Reed was among the scorers on his return from a shoulder reconstruction as Brisbane beat the winless New Zealand Warriors 25-10.
Fellow England stars Elliot Whitehead and Josh Hodgson featured as the Raiders squeaked home 21-20 over the Roosters, while the Bulldogs scored their winning try in the final minute to win at Penrith 18-16.
A serious arm injury to hooker Nathan Peats overshadowed Parramatta Eels' 20-16 victory over defending champions North Queensland Cowboys, while Cronulla Sharks crushed Gareth Widdop's St George Illawarra 30-2 in the southern Sydney derby.
In Monday's fixture, a James Tedesco hat-trick helped Wests Tigers to a 36-22 win over Manly Sea Eagles at Leichhardt Oval.
