Castleford Tigers have sacked Zak Hardaker after a failed drugs test last year.

Hardaker was suspended by the club after failing a drugs test in the weeks leading up to the 2017 Super League Grand Final and currently awaits the outcome of his case from UK Anti-Doping organisation.

The full-back missed the Tigers' defeat to Leeds in the final at Old Trafford and was left out of England's World Cup squad after being handed a provisional suspension. Sky Sports understands he tested positive for cocaine.
