Wigan's Tierney and Navarette move to Catalans on loan

Catalans Dragons have signed Wigan Warriors pair Lewis Tierney and Romain Navarrete on loan until the end of the season.

The players are in Perpignan and have been taking part in their first training session.

22-year-old Tierney can play on the wing or fullback. He came through the Wigan academy system and went on to win the Super League title in 2016 and then the World Club Challenge.

Navarette is back with the Dragons after making his Super League debut and 11 appearances for the club last year. The 23-year-old France international prop has played nine times for Wigan this season.

Catalans Dragons head coach Steve McNamara said: "We are delighted to add Romain and Lewis to our squad. They both add quality and depth at an important time of the year".
