Salford Red Devils have terminated the contract of back row forward Jansin Turgut, following an internal investigation.

The 23-year-old was re-signed by the club in November 2018 after a successful trial, but will play no further part in the Red Devils' season.

Turgut, who captained Turkey at the Emerging Nations World Championship in 2018, has also played for Hull FC, Featherstone Rovers and Doncaster RLFC.

In a short statement, the club announced that it had taken disciplinary action and thanked Turgut for his service to the club.

"Salford Red Devils have terminated the contact of Jansin Turgut, following an internal investigation and disciplinary action," the statement read.
