With just over one minute remaining in the match between Wigan and Wakefield Wildcats on Friday evening, the Warriors trailed by two points.
The game looked to be out of their reach as they battled with a man deficit following the first-half dismissal of Sean O'Loughlin for a high tackle on Chris Annakin.
But with the clock rapidly ticking down towards 80 minutes, the ball made its way out to George Williams, who put boot to ball with a probing kick into the in-goal area, his winger Lewis Tierney on hand to dot down for the try and the match.
