Hull FC went back to the top of the Super League table with a 36-12 won over Hull KR

"When you get to a derby everyone says that form goes out the window but I think we turned up with a good attitude and did what we said we were going to do," said Sneyd after the game.

"We played well and defended well - I really think that we attacked off our defence tonight.

"We were looking to get a bit more away from the ruck because I think a few teams have pinpointed us and tightened up in that area in recent weeks. We changed it up a little bit tonight and it worked."

Sneyd also revealed why he goes through the same kicking routine  - two steps back, five to the side and one more step back - every time he kicks for goal. On Thursday night it paid dividends as he slotted six from six.

He said: "I started kicking like that at Castleford. When I went to them I was a bit off and I needed something different so I ended up coming up with it there."
