New Hull coach Richard Agar takes temporary charge of Hull for the visit of Saints on Sunday.
Previous coach Peter Sharp left the club by mutual consent after Hull's 34-26 defeat by Harlequins last Sunday left the club second from bottom in the Super League.
It is Agar's second spell in temporary charge at the club, but he will be without Richard Whiting after the utility back broke his left leg in the defeat to Quins.
The unlucky player had only just returned after being out for three-and-a-half months with a broken arm.
But in more positive news, Agar welcomes back prop Garreth Carvell, who has not played since hurting a knee in the opening game of the season, and utility player Graeme Horne, who takes the place of Whiting.
Goalkicking back row forward Danny Tickle is also back in contention but scrum-half Adam Dykes is out with a knee injury.
Saints news
Second rower Lee Gilmour is a doubt after he turned an ankle in last week's win over Catalans Dragons.
But prop Maurie Fa'asavalu is expected to return to action after an ankle strain forced him to sit out the last match.
Saints will be looking for their fifth league victory in which has seen them rise to second in the table.
Third-placed Catalans are one point behind and could temporarily jump ahead of Saints as they play Huddersfield on Saturday.
