Huddersfield chalked up a sixth straight win with a resounding 24-0 defeat of Hull FC that takes them up into second place in Super League.
Nathan Brown's men ran in four tries against a Hull outfit bereft of confidence and who have now lost 15 of their last 19 matches.
On their home patch, the Airlie Birds produced an aggressive start, but could not turn it into points and having fallen behind rarely looked like calwing back their opponents.
By contrast, the Giants grew as the game wore on and ultimately ran out worthy winners.
It was Hull who had the first opportunity of note as Mark Calderwood knocked down a high kick, but Richard Horne failed to gather and the chance was gone.
Shaun Berrigan, making his 50th Hull appearance, then saw a try chalked off by referee Steve Ganson who spotted a forward pass from Craig Hall.
The Black and Whites were left to rue their missed chances as Huddersfield hit the front on 28 minutes when David Hodgson scooted in at the corner after a nice interchange between Kevin Brown and Brett Hodgson.
The try seemed to sap the home side's confidence and they fell further behind before the break as Shaun Lunt took advantage of some questionable defending to spin out of a tackle and coast over unopposed - Brett Hodgson converting both scores.
Perhaps somewhat fortunate to be 12 points clear at the interval, Huddersfield showed their opponents no mercy as they picked up where they left off with a third try just five minutes into the second half.
The influential Brown was involved again as Michael Lawrence raced on to his flat pass to collect and make his way under the posts for another converted score.
That try all but ended Hull's hopes and their season was dealt yet another blow as Jordan Tansey was soon forced off with injury.
Lunt thought he had claimed his second try of the night as he took advantage off hesitation from former Giants man Chris Thorman to touch down only for Ganson to rule he had not grounded the ball properly.
But Thorman was not so fortunate in the last minute as he let another high-kick bounce, this one from Liam Fulton, and Leroy Cudjoe was on hand to score to complete a miserable night for the home team who suffered their first shut-out of the season.
