Richard Whiting will play his first game of the season for Hull as they host fellow strugglers Huddersfield.
Hull centre Whiting has missed the season so far whilst recovering from a broken arm, but he is now back in the squad as the Giants visit the KC Stadium on Sunday.
Prop Ewan Dowes is back in the squad after missing the Black and Whites' Challenge Cup win at Rochdale last week through injury.
Full-back Motu Tony is also back for under-pressure coach Peter Sharp as he looks to build on last week's crucial victory over bottom side Castleford.
Second-to-bottom Hull are still at the wrong end of the Super League table though, but they can at least move up one place into tenth if they beat the Giants.
Jon Sharp's Huddersfield side are level on points with Hull after a run of just a win and a draw in their last six games, and they will replace their opponents on the penultimate rung of the ladder should they lose on Sunday.
The Giants will have former Wigan winger Martin Aspinwall making his first appearance of the season after recovering from a knee re-construction.
Prop John Skandalis is also back in the squad after a dead leg kept him out of the last two games, while Tom Hemmingway will fill in at second hooker after George Gatis returned to Australia.
