Hull FC will hope that lowly Catalans Dragons provide them with a perfect opportunity to bounce back from their loss to Huddersfield.
The Black and Whites were 18-0 up at the Galpharm Stadium but surrendered 32 unanswered points as their fine run of form was brought to an abrupt halt.
But Richard Agar's side are still sitting in an impressive fourth place in the Super League table and will be looking for their fifth win in six on Friday.
Agar has named an unchanged squad for the home contest but changes to the starting line-up may be made after the collapse against the Giants.
Mark O'Meley (calf), Richard Horne (knee) and Mark Calderwood (hamstring) are still unavailable for selection through injury.
Centre Craig Hall, who has recently been linked with a move to cross-city rivals Hull KR, could be handed a start.
Catalans coach Kevin Walters makes only one change after their confidence-boosting win over Wakefield last Saturday.
France international Tony Gigot is replaced by Michael Simon in a side that ended a run of nine consecutive Super League defeats against the Wildcats.
"We've done it tough in the league with all the injuries so it would be great to put some wins on the board between now and the end of the season," said Dragons forward Dallas Johnson.
"We've got the likes of Clint Greenshields and Casey McGuire fit now, though, and it's good for us that they're back on board."
Hull FC squad: Berrigan, T. Briscoe, Burnett, Cusack, Dowes, Fitzgibbon, Hall, Houghton, Lauaki, Long, Manu, Moa, Radford, Tansey, Tickle, Turner, Washbrook, Whiting, Yeaman
Catalans squad: Greenshields, Bell, Raguin, Sa, Pelo, Bosc, Ferriol, McGuire, Guisset, Elima, Mounis, Johnson, Gossard, Carlaw, Fakir, Casty, Simon, Vaccari, Sherwin
