A stunning performance from Peter Fox helped Hull KR notch up a comprehensive 36-16 victory over second-placed Warrington on Sunday.
The England winger set up two tries before scoring two of his own to help Rovers maintain their spot in the play-offs.
Warrington lost Garreth Carvell early in the game after the prop was injured with just six minutes gone.
But the visitors quickly overcame the setback when full-back Richie Mathers collected Scott Grix's pass and shrugged off Shaun Briscoe to crash over in the ninth minute.
And with the hosts in danger of conceding again soon after, Fox came to the rescue, setting off on a 60-metre run, which led to them levelling the scores.
Pivotal
Ben Galea found space, after Warrington conceded two quick penalties, and duly put Kris Welham into a gap for the in-form centre to claim his seventh try in four outings.
A stunning try from Ben Cockayne put Rovers in front after 28 minutes, with Fox again in a pivotal role.
The 25-year-old burst through again to race 60 metres upfield before Josh Hodgson, Michael Dobson and Welham combined to send Cockayne in at the corner.
Four minutes later, and with Hull firmly on song, Dobson and Chaz I'Anson broke clear to send Briscoe flying over.
But Warrington stuck to their task and on the stroke of half-time they were rewarded when a Paul Wood offload saw Matt King burrow over from close range.
Superb
Warrington drew level with 54 minutes on the clock when Ryan Atkins latched onto a Myler kick and supplied winger Chris Riley with his 13th try of the season in the corner.
Rovers' reply came almost immediately, Clint Newton delivering a superb one-handed offload to Fox for the winger to claim a well-deserved try.
Matt Cook effectively put paid to any hopes that Warrington had of a positive result with 15 minutes to go, when he grounded Dobson's deflected kick.
And Fox heaped further misery on the visitors when he burst through for his second.
Dobson slotted his sixth goal from seven attempts with a late penalty to seal a win that keeps reigning champions Leeds out of the top eight.
