Hull KR will be without second rower Ben Galea for their Super League opener against Salford on Sunday.
The Australian forward, who was selected in Super League's Dream Team last year, picked up a knee injury in a pre-season match against Bradford.
Rovers are still awaiting the arrival of new signing Joel Clinton, which could pave the way for a rare outing by teenage prop Liam Watts.
Mike Ratu, Matt Cook and Josh Hodgson are in line to make their Robins debuts having arrived at the club in the off-season.
New faces
Salford head coach Shaun McRae is set to give debuts to all six of his close-season signings.
Australian Daniel Holdsworth looks set to play alongside Matty Smith, though Stefan Ratchford could also feature in the half-back positions.
Centres Jodie Broughton, Ashley Gibson and Steve Tyrer and prop forward Ryan Boyle should all make their first starts for the Reds.
Mark Henry is out with a back problem but Karl Fitzpatrick is available after escaping a ban following his red card in a pre-season game against Widnes.
Rovers beat the Reds in both the sides' meetings last season - 14-10 at the Willows and 48-12 in the corresponding fixture at Craven Park.
