Hull KR and Huddersfield had to settle for a point apiece as they fought out a 24-24 draw at Craven Park.
A converted try from Daniel Fitzhenry, his second of the match, in the 64th minute meant honours ended even after a topsy-turvy encounter.
The winger's first had come in the opening half as Rovers raced out of the blocks into a 12-0 lead. They also found themselves 18-6 ahead at one stage only for the Giants to battle back.
George Gatis had crossed for Huddersfield's first try of the afternoon on 23 minutes when he caught Rovers sleeping to dive over from dummy half.
Jon Sharp's side grabbed a second shortly before the break through Chris Thorman and they then went ahead with two tries after half time.
Ben Cockayne inability to hang onto the ball allowed Paul Whatuira to zoom in to score, the successful conversion levelling the scores.
First lead
On the hour Rod Jensen managed to get on the end of Luke Robinson's clever kick to give Huddersfield the lead for the first time.
Thorman's conversion made it 24-18 and with the Robins a man light following the departure through injury of loose-forward Scott Murrell, who was hurt after attempting a tackle on Giant Eorl Crabtree, the Giants looked to be heading for an away win.
However they were unable to hang on, Fitzhenry's second being followed by a fourth Paul Cooke conversion to make sure the scores finished level.
Thorman also landed four kicks for the Giants, who move up into ninth in the table above Wakefield.
Rovers find themselves seventh in the standings level with Les Catalans on nine points. They have only been beaten once so far at home in 2008.
The result also means both Hull teams managed draws in round nine of Super League XIII. Hull FC scored a late try to record a 28-28 result at the Dragons on Saturday evening.
