Danny Brough marked his second game for Huddersfield with a brace of tries in a 48-6 victory over Catalans Dragons at the Galpharm Stadium.
The scrum-half showed just why the Giants had signed him from Wakefield with a man-of-the-match display in the Good Friday fixture.
David Hodgson also crossed twice for the hosts while Brett Hodgson grabbed a try to add to his six goals, giving him a personal haul of 16 points.
All the Dragons mustered in reply was a converted try from winger Dimitri Pelo, as they suffered a seventh defeat of the campaign.
Far cry
It was all a far cry from their last trip to the Galpharm when they caused an upset in the play-offs to put paid to Huddersfield's Grand Final hopes.
Any chance of a repeat result disappeared in a one-sided opening 40 minutes that saw the hosts score 26 points without reply.
David Faimu broke the deadlock as early as the fifth minute, throwing an outrageous dummy before breaking out of a poor tackle from Tony Gigot.
Brough set up Lee Gilmour for a second before scoring himself, the former Wildcat dropping on a loose ball over the line after Luke Robinson, who has been moved to hooker, had hacked on a loose ball.
David Hodgson's first of the night followed in the 28th minute and with Kevin Brown getting a fifth try before the break thanks to Brough's clever kick, the two points were already in the bag for Nathan Brown's troops.
The Dragons did improve after the interval, though it would have been hard for them not to after such a shocking first half.
Speedy Pelo
Scrum-half Thomas Bosc, who left the conversion to William Barthau, set up the speedy Pelo to get the visitors on the scoreboard nine minutes in.
However conceding only seemed to spark Huddersfield back into life and they soon replied thanks to another moment of magic from their new boy.
Brough drifted across the field before spotting space in behind the defensive line, his well-weighted kick bouncing kindly up for the onrushing Leroy Cudjoe to gather and score his eighth try of the campaign.
Brough decided to do it all by himself to complete his brace, darting between two defenders with a deceptive turn of pace before leaping over the line.
A try apiece for the two Hodgsons in the home ranks rounded out the scoring. Firstly David squeezed in at the corner before skipper Brett grabbed a breakaway effort which he also converted for his sixth goal of the night.
