Huddersfield Giants and the Castleford Tigers are both looking for their first points of the new season.
The Giants went down 30-10 to Grand Final winners Leeds Rhinos in round one and were then turned over 38-12 by the Bradford Bulls at Odsal last time out.
Coach Jon Sharp managed to get his side into the play-offs last season after a similarly difficult start and this is a must-win clash for the Giants.
Youngster Mike Lawrence has made way for Danny Kirmond in the only change to Sharp's 20-man squad.
Injuries
Castleford coach Terry Matterson is still down to the bare bones with his squad because of injury.
The Tigers already have the smallest squad in Super League and have on-loan hooker Scott Moore serving the last match of his ban for a dangerous tackle in the defeat to Les Catalans.
Ryan Clayton and Stuart Donlan are still sidelined through injury meanwhile, and Kirk Dixon is another real doubt for the newly-promoted club.
Huddersfield 20-man squad: Thorman, Elford, Whaturia, Brown, Robinson, Crabtree, Gatis, Skandalis, Lolesi, Raleigh, Wild, Jones, Jackson, Mason, Snitch, Griffin, Hudson, Cudjoe, Jensen, Kirmond.
Castleford 19-man squad: Dorn, Shenton, Dixon, Wainwright, Thackeray, Sherwin, Leafa, Henderson, Korkidas, Guttenbeil, Westerman, Higgins, Huby, Lupton, Boyle, Haberecht, Owen, McGoldrick, Fletcher.
