Catalans Dragons recorded their third successive engage Super League victory with a 28-20 success against Wakefield Wildcats at Stade Gilbert Brutus.
The Dragons scored three tries while building a 16-0 lead by half-time, but were forced to hold off a spirited comeback by the injury-ravaged Wildcats after the break.
Prop David Ferriol got the opening try - his first of the season - after only three minutes.
And the in-form Frenchmen added further first-half scores through winger Cyril Stacul and full-back Clint Greenshields, while Thomas Bosc landed two conversions from three attempts.
The Wildcats got on the scoreboard in the 44th minute when former Wigan and St Helens prop Ricky Bibey touched down and Jamie Rooney added the conversion.
Second rower Dane Carlaw scored for the second successive match on 49 minutes to ease the Dragons 22-6 ahead.
Comeback
However, John Kear's men gave themselves hope of a maiden success in Perpignan with three unanswered tries in 20 minutes.
Richard Moore was soon followed across the whitewash by Matt Blaymire, but Rooney was off-target with both conversions.
Substitute Scott Grix added a fourth Wakefield try on 76 minutes and this time Rooney added the extras to cut the deficit to just two points.
But the Dragons sealed the victory with a last-gasp try from experienced prop Alex Chan and Bosc slotted his fourth conversion to ice the result.
