New recruit Brent Sherwin looks set to make his Catalans debut on Saturday against Salford at Stade Gilbert Brutus.
Scrum-half Sherwin has joined the Dragons from Super League rivals Castleford after the French club failed to capture Melbourne's Brett Finch.
The 32-year-old scored two tries in the Tigers' 34-18 win over Les Catalans at Magic Weekend and was also in the side that won in Perpignan in March.
His arrival is a timely boost for coach Kevin Walters' injury-hit squad, with Jean-Philippe Baile the latest name to be added to the casualty list.
Bad break
The Frenchman broke his arm during the 28-14 loss to Hull last weekend and joins Clint Greenshields, Casey McGuire, Chris Walker and Cyril Gossard in the treatment room.
Despite picking up injuries against the Airlie Birds, Dimitri Pelo, Dane Carlaw and Dallas Johnson have all been included in Walters' 19-man squad.
Salford will be looking to make it two wins in a row when Super League's bottom two do battle this weekend.
The Reds opened up a four-point gap to their next opponents thanks to a thrilling 42-34 victory over St Helens at the Willows last Saturday.
On the injury front, Luke Adamson has a shoulder injury and will be rested, while coach Shaun McRae is still without front-row duo Ray Cashmere and Rob Parker.
The Reds have already lost twice to the Dragons this season, including a 30-8 defeat on French soil in the Carnegie Challenge Cup.
Catalans Dragons squad: Bell, Raguin, Sa, Pelo, Bosc, Guisset, Elima, Mounis, Johnson, Carlaw, Touxagas, K. Bentley, Fakir, Casty, Gigot, Stacul, Vaccari, A. Bentley.
