Brent Sherwin is poised to make his 50th outing for Castleford when he returns against Salford in Super League action on Sunday.
Sherwin is restored to the Tigers line-up along with prop Liam Higgins after both missed Castleford's 34-28 Carnegie Challenge Cup defeat to Barrow with shoulder injuries.
Loan signing Chris Tuson is available after being cup-tied, but Shaun Ainscough and Mike Cooper have both been recalled by Wigan and Warrington respectively.
Michael Shenton and Brett Ferres are yet to return as they recover from injuries.
Hurting
"The guys have been hurting this week and appreciate that we should have done a lot better last Sunday," coach Terry Matterson told the official Castleford website.
"It was a big disappointment to be knocked out of the cup at the first hurdle, there were no excuses, we let ourselves down and we can only turn things around ourselves.
"Our recent form has been particularly disappointing because we were doing things a lot better in the early weeks of the campaign and that is where we have got to get back to. We are also getting some bodies back which is a big plus.
"Salford have shown some improved form in recent weeks but it is a game that we are capable of winning and I'll be looking for, and expecting, a big response on Sunday.
"The players owe that to the fans who have understandably been frustrated of late, but however strong their feelings are I would urge them to give their vocal backing to the guys."
Salford, meanwhile, welcome back winger Steve Tyrer in place of Jodie Broughton, who aggravated a shoulder injury during the Reds' cup defeat to Perpignan last week.
Scrum-half or hooker Jeremy Smith is set to make his first appearance for six weeks, while teenage prop Ben Wood has also been named in coach Shaun McRae's 19-man squad.
Castleford squad: Dixon, Evans, Wainwright, Chase, Sherwin, Sargent, Hudson, Huby, Snitch, Westerman, Jones, Higgins, Jackson, Clayton, Netherton, Thompson, McGoldrick, Holmes, Tuson.
Salford squad: Fitzpatrick, J. Smith, Henry, Talau, Gibson, Ratchford, Cashmere, Sidlow, Alker, Wood, Jewitt, Adamson, Swain, M. Smith, Littler, Leuluai, Tyrer, Holdsworth, Boyle.
