Castleford have named Rangi Chase in their 19-man squad for Sunday's Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final against Leeds but coach Terry Matterson is refusing to say if he's going to play.
The 25-year-old New Zealander flew back to Australia earlier this week for a court case relating to an incident that happened before he joined the Tigers in 2008, and is thought ready to make a dash back for the tie at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium.
But Matterson will keep the Rhinos guessing over Chase's participation until an hour before kick-off and insists they can win without him.
"If he's there on Sunday, he's playing; if he's not, he won't," said Matterson.
"There's been a lot of innuendo about whether he's playing or not and we might as well play it out until Sunday."
Captain back
Skipper Danny Orr does definitely return, along with forwards Paul Jackson and Stuart Jones, after being rested for last Sunday's 46-26 Super League defeat by St Helens.
Prop Rob Parker, who is on loan from Salford, has recovered from illness while winger Martin Aspinwall will be playing with an electronic tag after being released early from a four-month prison sentence for dangerous driving.
Leeds coach Brian McDermott will select from a fully-fit squad, with second rower Weller Hauraki, centre Brett Delaney and winger Ben Jones-Bishop returning after missing last Friday's win at Salford.
Centre Keith Senior, who has played his last match for the club after suffering a season-ending knee injury, is their only enforced absentee, while Ali Lauitiiti and Jay Pitts drop out of the team that played the Reds.
