Hull will be looking to end a six-match losing run when they take on Bradford in the Carnegie Challenge Cup quarter-finals at Odsal on Sunday.
The Black and Whites lost by a a club record 71-0 scoreline in the 2005 Super League play-offs on the ground and gained their only away win over Bradford in the Super League era in 2004.
"As you can see, our record at Bradford isn't that clever, although it is an incentive for us to change it," said newly-appointed Airlie Birds coach Richard Agar.
"Bradford are a good side, they are well coached, they have some excellent players and they are always difficult to beat on their own ground.
"Having said that they, like us, have a few players missing and maybe this is as good a time as any to play them."
The Bulls are still without captain and scrum-half Paul Deacon, who has failed to shake off a hamstring injury, but coach Steve McNamara is happy for his players to dream of a trip to Wembley.
"It's a very special competition and we are all very excited about it," said McNamara, who was in the Bradford side beaten by St Helens at Wembley in 1997.
"We have been from the very first round we were involved in it and now we are at the quarter-final stage it's getting very, very exciting.
"Whether you are from England or Australia, young or old, you all understand the glamour of the competition and what it means so I don't mind the players thinking about the final because it can be a big motivational factor."
Bradford 19-man squad: Matt Cook, Jamie Langley, Dave Halley, Joe Vagana, Paul Sykes, Glenn Morrison, Iestyn Harris, Andy Lynch, James Evans, Keal Carlile, David Solomona, Matt James, Sam Burgess, Michael Platt, Ben Jeffries, Tame Tupou, Simon Finnigan, Terry Newton, Shontayne Hape
