Verdict

ROYAL RENDEZVOUS flopped when odds-on for his bumper debut at Galway but made no mistake on a retrieval mission at Downpatrick where he made most for a facile victory. He'll be at short odds here and should win again though Kalum River, a winner at Punchestown in April, was conceding 10lb to Queens Boulevard when beaten into second at Listowel and will be no pushover. Design Matters showed a bit of promise at Punchestown in April while Chavi Artist looks the pick of the remainder.
