      Verdict

      VAPE scored twice over the winter and was unlucky not to make a successful return to Turf at Brighton as he reared out of the stalls and was only beaten a neck at the finish. He can go one better though Sir Roderic is 3lb lower than his victory at Goodwood last summer and will have found Class 4 company beyond him at Leicester a fortnight ago. Lordsbridge Boy won over the minimum here in September and has changed stables while Gilt Edge, who completed a hat-trick in the summer of 2019, has slipped to a winnable mark. I'm Watching You completed a double at Wolverhampton earlier this year but has been well beaten in two starts on Turf.
