Verdict

John Monash is the first of a glut of Richard Johnson rides for Gordon Elliott and the consistent gelding should contend strongly on the back of a good run here last time when beaten under a length. He does seem best at 2m though and Elliott also runs Faraway Mountain who short-headed fellow Irish raider Knocklayde Sno Cat here last month. Johnson has presumably chosen John Monash of the pair but it's tempting to give one last chance to KNOCKLAYDE SNO CAT who really does deserve to get her head in front after a series of ill luck and near misses. She gets on well with her young pilot and the combination receive considerable weight all round. This looks an Irish benefit as Enzani can also be considered after a promising Kilbeggan run latest.
