Joseph O'Brien has three entries including five-times course winner San Andreas, who almost always runs his race on the track and has the assistance of top apprentice Conor Stone-Walsh. The lightly-raced MARTINSTOWN came here last week and started favourite for a 1m4f handicap but never quite got there. That was only his fourth start and with the shorter trip likely to suit he can gain compensation. His stable also run Londoner, a maiden winner here a year ago who had been competing at a high level on Turf before running well in a much better handicap than this on a return visit in August. Slieve Binnian landed a Curragh handicap in August and is now unbeaten here after landing a handicap over the trip three weeks ago for which a 4lb rise looks manageable.
