In depth

Verdict

EDUARD was just over three lengths behind Melodic Rendezvous when conceding 6lb to the winner at Cheltenham in December. The latter went on to land the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown while fifth Mr Watson has won twice since so the form looks very solid and Nicky Richards' promising novice should recapture the winning thread here. Gymdoli won at Hexham in November but has been found wanting under a penalty since while the four-year-old Luctor Emergo isn't improving. There could be more to come from Bankroll but, like jumping newcomer Moheebb, he was a miler on the Flat and may have stamina issues.
