San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster arrested for second time in a month

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster has been released on bail after being arrested on multiple charges on Sunday.

Foster was arrested on Sunday morning in Los Gatos, California, on suspicion of domestic violence, threats and assault weapon possession charges.

Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police confirmed to NFL.com that they arrested Foster after receiving a call regarding a possible disturbance.

The 23-year-old was released from custody late on Sunday night after bail was set at $75,000 (£54,200)

"The San Francisco 49ers organisation is aware of the report regarding Reuben Foster," a 49ers spokesman said.

"We take matters of this nature seriously and are gathering all pertinent information."

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero said the league was also aware of Foster's arrest, which could lead to disciplinary action.

Foster was arrested last month in his home state of Alabama on a possession of marijuana charge, and released after posting a bond.

The rookie started 10 games for the 49ers in his first NFL season and made a total of 72 tackles.
