Quarterback DeShone Kizer will start for the Cleveland Browns on Sunday after the team reversed their decision to bench him in favour of Kevin Hogan.
The rookie was removed from the starting role against the Houston Texans but coach Hue Jackson confirmed on Wednesday that Kizer would take over from Kevin Hogan against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Kizer was benched for Hogan midway through week five's defeat against the New York Jets, having taken his tally of interceptions to nine against only three touchdown passes.
But Jackson said Kizer appeared to have learned a lot from being benched, while Hogan's first start ended in a 33-17 defeat at the Houston Texans. The Browns' record now stands at 0-6.
The Browns and San Francisco 49ers are the only NFL teams without a win so far this season.
"I think when you see some of the things that have happened to you in games and you can see it happening with somebody else that hurts your football team, you undestand the turnovers are putting the team at risk," Jackson said.
"When there is a chance, an opportunity to score points and here comes a turnover coming the other way, when sometimes the accuracy - you miss a ball, you throw it a little high or a little low or whatever all those things are - that it stops drives, and it doesn't give your offensive football team the best opportunity to have success.
"I think seeing some of the protection ID things that came up was very eye-opening to him, and I think it was a good experience for him."
