The NFL Draft is an unforgettable experience for every player, and each will have their own unique story on the moment their name is called.
For Danny Shelton, nose tackle for the Cleveland Browns, it was one step closer to realising a boyhood dream.
Shelton was selected 12th by the Browns in 2015, hugging NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and lifting him off the ground as he walked on stage.
"My dream was to play in the NFL. To be in Chicago at the time of the Draft and be drafted early, it was just something crazy to think about."
However, Shelton wasn't able to concentrate solely on the moment. With essay deadlines due, he still had to concentrate on his education.
"I can remember the night before the first day of the draft, I had homework to do! I was still in college, and my professor gave me some work that I needed to turn in the following week.
"It was just adding more to the stressful situation. Not knowing where you're gonna go, whether you're going to go early or if you'll drop into the lower rounds.
"My advice would be to not bring your homework to the Draft and make your professor understand that this is a big moment in your life! Try to enjoy it as much as you can."
Shelton also talked about the importance of having his family close to him during the process.
"I brought my whole family out for the experience and to see their faces meant the whole world to me. Good luck to all those guys, and hopefully the Browns get a good pick!"
When asked about defensive end Myles Garrett, widely tipped to be selected first overall by the Browns, Shelton said that he would be a great addition to the league.
"He's a confident guy, and I'm excited to see what happens. Watching his film, he's a really great player, and he'll be great for the NFL."
