After an incredible season, the play-offs ended in the Divisional Round for the Dallas Cowboys.
Led to a 13-3 season by rookie duo Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys came unstuck after a moment of magic from Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, who's 36-yard pass to Jared Cook set up a last-second field goal conversion, to hand the Packers a 34-31 win.
It was billed as the game of the weekend, and neither team disappointed in a match-up that could have gone either way. However, it is Rodgers and the Packers who progress to face the Atlanta Falcons next weekend.
Cowboys defensive end Jack Crawford spoke of the relative inexperience of the team, and suggested that it may have been a factor in the game.
"For a lot of our team that was their first play-off appearance, and Green Bay make it almost every year. I think the moment - the atmosphere and the situation - our emotions may have got the better of us," he said.
"We were all pushing ourselves to do a little bit too much, instead of remaining calm and just sticking to what we do. We were a little bit too excited."
The British-born veteran has been in Dallas for the past three years, but is out of contract this summer. He hopes that after a great personal year, in which he started 10 games and featured in them all, there may be an opportunity for him to remain with the organisation.
"I try not to think about this early, I need some time off now but there's no telling what the future holds," Crawford said.
"The relationships that I have on this team, they're like family. I like the system and I would love to be back, but nothing is promised in the NFL."
Despite the loss, Crawford tried to remain positive, and is keen to build on the experience he has gained this year.
"A loss in that fashion is heartbreaking, and it's going to take some time to settle in", he said.
"But once you wake up, start a new day and look forward to the future, it will all get better. I want to get back there so much, it gives you the hunger to get back into that situation."
