Week 17 saw the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions punch their tickets to the play-offs at the expense of the Washington Redskins.
It was a decision that prompted the Redskins organisation to part company with its entire defensive coaching team, and now head coach Jay Gruden must look for a new set of staff.
Sky Sports analyst and coach Jeff Reinebold talked about the repercussions of spending big in free agency, but not seeing the expected improvement on the field.
"The Redskins have got better defensively, but better is better. It's relative, and not necessarily good enough.
"When you're eliminated from the play-offs, this is usually what happens. Somebody is going to be held accountable."
Jeff also looked at the Raiders' offensive options for rookie quarterback Connor Cook against the Houston Texans, as well as opportunities for all the other teams to succeed in their Wild Card match-ups.
As well as this weekend's fixtures, Jeff focused in on the technology available to NFL players, after Damon Harrison joked that he was prepared for the Super Bowl after playing Madden.
You can watch all the NFL action from Wild Card weekend live on Sky Sports 1. Join Dara, Neil and Jeff on Saturday night from 9pm, and again on Sunday from 5:30pm.
