New York Giants defensive tackle Damon Harrison has joked that he has worked out how to win the Super Bowl by playing video game Madden NFL 17.

Harrison - nicknamed 'Snacks' - will play his first real-life NFC Wild Card play-off this Sunday when the Giants square-off against the Green Bay Packers, live on Sky Sports 1 HD.

And he believes he also has the upper-hand on opposite number Aaron Rodgers because he has been sussing him out on the EA Sports creation.

"I just won a Super Bowl last night on Madden with the Green Bay Packers. I go to the playoffs every year on Madden," Harrison said.

"So I have some playoff experience if guys want to talk to me and lean on me.

"The team looks a little different. I made some cuts, added some guys, edited some contracts so I could have some cap space.

"But I was using (Aaron) Rodgers pretty good on Madden, so hopefully I know some of his weaknesses because, you know, Madden doesn't lie."

"If you make him go to his left, he's not as accurate as when he goes to his right because the video game can't compensate like he can in real life," he said.

"See these thumbs right here?" he said. "I can make anybody great on Madden, man."
