Texans fight back and claim division win in overtime. Lamar Miller scores two touchdowns and Osweiler lifts team in final minutes to go 4-2.
MVP
Lamar Miller had 178 total yards and scored two of Houston's touchdowns. With DeAndre Hopkins limited due to tight coverage, Miller stepped up and caused the Colts defence problems all night.
Game-changer
Brock Osweiler caught fire in the final minutes of the second half, leading his team downfield twice in the fourth quarter to level the score. With the game on the line, the quarterback threw a perfect 36-yard throw to Jaelen Strong on the sideline, setting up the game-winning field goal.
Stat of the night
14 - The Texans are the first team since 2011 to overcome a 14 point deficit in the final three minutes of a game.
The game
After trading punts, the Colts were the first to get on the score sheet as kicker Adam Vinatieri notched a 41-yard field goal. Indianapolis added a touchdown early in the second quarter as Luck connected with tight end Jack Doyle for a 22-yard touchdown throw.
The Colts added another field goal, Vinatieri scoring his 40th consecutive three pointer, before Novak scored a field goal to get the Texans on the board with less than a minute to go in the half. Houston quarterback Brock Osweiler continued to struggle, and boos rang out around the NRG stadium as a frustrated home crowd made their displeasure known.
The Texans got into the end zone in the third quarter when Miller scored his first touchdown of the night, but soon after an interception from Vontae Davis handed the Colts excellent field position and, with the first play of the fourth quarter, Luck sprinted in for a 14-yard rushing touchdown to extend the visitors' lead to 20-9.
With just over two minutes left to play, Miller added his second score, reducing the Colts' lead to seven points and Osweiler showed a glimpse of his potential as a starting quarterback in the last moments of the game. In just three plays, the Texans went 52 yards and Osweiler found Fiedorowicz to score a game-levelling touchdown.
The game rolled into overtime and, though Luck received the ball first the Texans defence forced him out of scoring range. Osweiler took his opportunity, connecting with Jaelen Strong for a 36-yard throw to set up a 33 yard field goal for Novak to win the game.
The Texans move to 4-2 and a positive finish for Osweiler couldn't have come at a better time as the QB takes on his former team, the Denver Broncos in week seven. It was a hugely disappointing result for Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, who watched his side let a fourth quarter 23-9 lead slip and have now lost both their AFC South divisional games so far.
