Russell Westbrook set an NBA record with his 10th consecutive triple-double as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Portland Trail Blazers.
Westbrook posted 21 points (5-19 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 10-13 FT), 14 rebounds, 11 assists, two blocks, and one steal in 37 minutes as the Thunder beat the Blazers 120-111 to notch their fourth straight win.
Former league MVP Westbrook completed his historic triple-double with an assist to Paul George, who drained a three-pointer with 3:52 remaining in the game.
That play allowed Westbrook to surpass the legendary Wilt Chamberlain, who recorded nine consecutive triple-doubles in 1968.
Despite his achievement, Westbrook was somewhat outshone by team-mate George, who posted 47 points (15-26 FG, 8-13 3Pt. 9-11FT), 12 rebounds and 10 assists as the Thunder rolled to their 11th win in their last 12 games.
Speaking after the game, Westbrook said: "It's a blessing to be able to go out and compete and play the game I love. I've got some unbelievable team-mates, guys who make my job very easy. It's my job to set the table for them.
"It was an unbelievable moment for the fans and the city. I'm just happy to be a part of it and that we got the win."
