On the 15th anniversary of his PGA Championship win, Rich Beem reflects on his major moment at Hazeltine, the celebratory dance, and looks forward to competing at Quail Hollow.

Ahead of the 15th anniversary of his PGA Championship victory, Rich Beem has been reflecting on his memorable major triumph at Hazeltine.

Beem, now a member of the Sky Sports commentary team, joined Nick Dougherty at the Sky Cart during the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational to look back on his remarkable performance in 2002.

The charismatic American was three shots off the pace after 54 holes but, as overnight leader Justin Leonard faded, Beem suddenly found himself at the top of the leaderboard at the turn as he went three ahead with an eagle at the 11th.

Tiger Woods piled on the pressure as he birdied the final four holes, but Beemer held his nerve and sank a crucial 35-foot putt for birdie at the 16th before two cracking shots at the last got him on the green with the luxury of three putts for victory.

He took all three and celebrated with a famous jig, describing the winning moment and the attention that followed as a "surreal experience".

Beem is looking forward to competing in the final major of the year at Quail Hollow next week, can he entertain the fans as he did at Baltusrol last year, when he made the cut as the likes of Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia suffered early exits.
