Rory McIlroy played a delightful flop-shot from a tricky position during the third round of the Players Championship, but his first attempt was one to forget.
The world No 1 short-sided himself after tugging his second shot to the par-five ninth into the lush rough to the left of the putting surface, leaving himself little green to work with.
Opting for a flop-shot, McIlroy's lob wedge slid straight under the ball with his first go, but he got it right second time and left himself with little more than a tap-in for par.
