A group of geese disrupted Sergio Garcia and Justin Thomas' threeball during the opening round of the Honda Classic

Animal encounters are all-too familiar on the golf course, but one group of geese decided to get closer to the action than normal during the opening round of the Honda Classic.

The Thursday featured group of Justin Thomas, Sergio Garcia and Daniel Berger saw their round briefly halted by the pesky animals, which were lurking around the green on PGA National's par-five third.

With one Egyptian Goose wandering by the flag and another standing just off the putting surface, Garcia took matters into his own hands to try and shoo them away from the action.

After some prodding and persuasion from the Spaniard, the geese eventually took the hint and disappeared off towards the next fairway.
