European Tour stars will put their reputations on the line when they take on young golfers in a “Beat the Pro” challenge at the British Masters, supported by Sky Sports.

The tournament returns to the north east for the first time in 45 years this week at Close House, where a special challenge will take place at the signature par-three fifth hole.

During the third round in Northumberland, the players will face a different kind of test when they take on three juniors in a unique nearest-the-pin contest.

While the professionals will be hitting from the Championship tee and left facing a tricky shot over water from over 200 yards, the youngsters will attack the same flag but just 70 yards from the pin.
