Two young schoolboys aged 11 and eight prompted the biggest cheers of the third day at the KLM Open as they impressed in the Beat The Pro challenge.
The tournament introduced the popular concept last year, which sees amateurs attempted to get their tee-shot closer to the pin on the par-three 14th then any of the professionals in each group over the first three rounds.
Former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt was among those to take part as he took on defending champion Joost Luiten on the first day at The Dutch, while any amateurs that upstage the professionals win a pair of return flights to anywhere in Europe, courtesy of the title sponsors.
One who was presented with that prize on day three was 11-year-old Mattias Henke, who produced an impressive shot to beat Ryder Cup star Chris Wood and his playing partner, Max Albertus.
But the crowd went wild when young Tom Hendriks was introduced on the tee after the group of Matt Wallace, Matteo Manassero and George Coetzee had peppered the pin at the 133-yard par-three.
Hendriks, who is only eight years of age, gave it his all with driver in hand, but his ball just fell short of bounding onto the green and embarrassing a trio of respected European Tour professionals!
