England head coach Peter Moores has hinted Jonathan Trott will keep his place as an opener for the third Test against West Indies in Barbados next week.
Trott made 59 in the first innings of England's second Test victory in Grenada - but was out for a duck in the second innings - his second failure in four innings since his recall.
Moores told Sky Sports News HQ: "I think Jonathan Trott played really well first innings, I think he played beautifully. The first Test match back is tough for anybody because he has worked extremely hard to get there and performed well for the Lions to get his chance.
"In this Test match, he played very well first innings and then got out early in the second innings which can happen to anybody. He was a bit unlucky with the inside edge but I think he will come away from the match thinking he had got his game in good order.
"That's good for us going to Barbados because it means we have got players playing well and we have got some tough decisions to make.
"We'll go to Barbados, look at the pitch and look at the conditions and pick the best 11 blokes as we always do to try and win the game. It will be potentially a great Test match and a chance for us to win the series."
Moores' future as head coach remains unclear and he stressed that he has not held any discussions with the outgoing ECB chairman Giles Clarke or chief executive Tom Harrison over either his own position or the new role of director of cricket.
He said: "At the moment we are just focused on what we are trying to do which is to win a series in the West Indies. Giles was there in Grenada and he has got one more Test match as chairman before it changes to Colin (Graves).
"I think he enjoyed the Test match but we weren't really talking about the future, we were enjoying the moment and celebrating a great win."
