South Africa have included Hashim Amla in their 15-man World Cup squad - but there is no place for Chris Morris.

Amla, 36, has been preferred to fellow top-order player Reeza Hendricks, despite scoring just one century on his last 17 ODI innings.

Morris, meanwhile, has been overlooked, with the Proteas selectors instead opting for fellow all-rounders Andile Phehlukwayo and Dwaine Pretorius.

Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortje, who were ruled out of the IPL due to injuries, have been passed fit and join a strong pace unit also featuring Kagiso Rabada and Dale Steyn.

Quinton de Kock is the only wicketkeeper named, with David Miller likely to deputise behind the stumps if needed having taken the gloves for part of the 5-0 whitewash of Sri Lanka in March.

Imran Tahir, who will retire after the World Cup, is one of two frontline spinners selected, alongside wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi.
