Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez needs to regain his masterful form as he targets a revenge victory over Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, says David Coldwell.

I was at the first fight between Gonzalez and Sor Rungvisai on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin's points win over Danny Jacobs. Watching it live, it was a really, really good fight.

A bit of a shocker to be honest, because obviously 'Chocolatito' is the man who could have possibly surpassed Floyd Mayweather's long unbeaten record. But it all went wrong from the start as Gonzalez was dropped in the first round and it just seemed like he could never get to grips with Sor Rungvisai's style.

I actually thought while I was watching that Gonzalez looked very ordinary that night, whereas in previous fights he seemed like 'Superman'.

Sor Rungvisai had never gone 12 rounds before, but he put in a supreme effort, and I think his power shocked Gonzalez, who probably didn't expect to get hurt. He was buzzed several times and that usual fluidity and movement was not there. Gonzalez tried to force his punches out

Gonzalez is still a great fighter and one loss does not change that.

On the night, I felt as though maybe Gonzalez could have pulled it back, but he did not get the verdict.

As for the rematch, Gonzalez is still a great fighter and one loss does not change that. He might have overlooked Sor Rungvisai with all the talk of super-fights to come, but will now be fully focused, and can make those adjustments.

It should be another great fight, because Sor Rungvisai has gained fame from becoming the first man to beat 'Chocolatito' and if he wins again then those big fights will be coming to him.

Has Gonzalez outgrown the division and is struggling to make weight? If so, he could have problems, but I do think he will gain revenge.
