Kell Brook has joked that Amir Khan is taking drastic measures to avoid him after being linked with reality TV show 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.'
The former world champion has fuelled rumours that he will appear in the Australia-based endurance challenge by flying out to Brisbane, extending his lengthy absence from the ring.
But the Sheffield man poked fun at his British rival's reported TV appearance by suggesting that Khan has simply found a new excuse to delay their grudge fight.
"I think he's travelled over to the other end of the world to get away from me," Brook exclusively told Sky Sports. "The next thing he'll be saying is, if Kell comes to the jungle and lasts longer than he does, he'll fight me then!
"He's always finding some kind of excuse and now he's travelled to the other side of the world to get away from me.
"It is a programme that I do enjoy watching. I'm looking forward to seeing him on the show.
"I'll be voting for him to eat some kangaroo testicles, or something like that. I'll make sure that he has to do something for avoiding the fight with me."
Brook will be watching with interest to see whether Khan will be crowned 'King of the Jungle' if he does appear on the reality show, but the 'Special One' is not tempted to make a similar appearance until he fulfils his boxing ambitions, including a long-awaited domestic battle.
"Let's see what his personality is like. I'm looking forward to seeing what he's about, if I'm honest with you, but if he gets in there with me, there is only one winner, and that's me," said Brook, who expects to step up to super-welterweight for his comeback fight.
"I do have some phobias. I'm scared of all the spiders and creepy crawlies. I think they would be voting me in non-stop, because I don't like those animals.
"I still want to come back, I still want to be world champion, I still want to have big fights, so I want to deal with that first and then when things really slow down with the boxing, you could see me in the jungle, you never know."
