Conor Benn introduced himself to America in style by blasting out Brandon Sanudo in the second round in New York.
'The Destroyer' was not only making his trans-Atlantic bow at the Nassau Coliseum, in Long Island, New York, but also facing his first Mexican foe.
Benn, though, was in a menacing mood, a vicious left to the body with 44 seconds of the second round left saw Sanudo unable to get up and took the son of fans' favourite, Nigel, to a perfect 10-0-KO8.
His dad took 24 fights to box in America but just over 18 months as a professional, the 21-year-old welterweight, shook New York ahead of the main event featuring Daniel Jacobs.
The familiar chimes of Big Ben welcomed him into the ring and from the first bell, his jab was fast and accurate, forcing Sanudo to steer clear.
When the Mexican did come forward, a straight right from Benn put him back in his place and as the round ended, Sanudo was cornered, but managed to block the now-trademark ferocious body-shots.
The second round saw Benn stalking his opponent with intent and, straight after the bell, a sharp left hook caught Sanudo, before the finish.
Benn backed his man into another corner, teased his guard open with a right, before the pin-point left landed and put the Mexican down.
The win was Benn's fifth consecutive finish inside three rounds and while he admitted it was a different test hitting New York, he is looking forward to going back there.
"I really enjoyed it and got some reception here, so it's just a great experience so early in my career," Benn told Sky Sports.
"To hit America and England is something special. It's really different.
"Here the way they do things is completely different and it will take a while to get used to it, but it is early doors and when it comes to the time to fight here - potentially for titles - I will know what I'm in for."
