Kid Galahad would be happy to fight Scott Quigg next, says the Sheffield fighter’s trainer Dominic Ingle.

The former British champion claimed a stoppage win on his return from an 18-month drugs ban in April and Ingle is plotting the next move for the unbeaten 26-year-old.

Galahad has resumed his pursuit of a big-name fight and would welcome a clash with Quigg, who is due to fight again in November following his February points defeat to Carl Frampton, while he is also targeting a number of other domestic rivals.

He will fight all of those guys. It's about getting the opportunity to do it.

Ingle told Sky Sports: "He would fight Quigg tomorrow. The point is whether Quigg will want to fight him. We're in this situation where you're always going to get the knockers (saying): 'I don't want to fight him.'

"I think he would like to box Quigg, he would like to box (Carl) Frampton at super-bantamweight, but if the opportunity came between super-bantamweight and featherweight, he will fight anybody.

"You've got Gavin McDonnell, Jamie McDonnell. Gavin is super-bantam, Jamie might be moving up at some point. He will fight all of those guys. It's about getting the opportunity to do it."

Gym-mate Kell Brook has made a courageous step-up to middleweight to challenge Gennady Golovkin for his world titles on September 10, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and Galahad could possibly appear on the same bill at The O2.

"Galahad is on training camp with Kell," said Ingle. "I'm talking to Eddie (Hearn) now about getting on Kell's undercard on this one and then hopefully he's back out in October.

"He's never been out of the gym. He's always been a good trainer, he's always been there to motivate Kell, push him on. Kell looks at Kid and wants to have that level of fitness. But he lives the life, he's never out of the gym."
