Andy Murray remains on course for a second Wimbledon title after a 6-3 7-5 6-2 third round victory over Australia's John Millman.

The world No 2 has yet to drop a set on route to the last 16 at the All England Club and is now the favourite for the title after world No 1 and defending champion Novak Djokovic was stunned by Sam Querrey on Court No 1.

Despite a tight second set, Murray was never really troubled and at times outclassed Millman. His straight sets triumph sets up a fourth round meeting with either Nick Kyrgios or Feliciano Lopez.

Who has he beaten and who will he face?

With showers throughout the day continuing to play havoc with the outside courts, Murray was more fortunate and forced off court just a couple of times in quick succession at the start of second set before the decision was taken to close the roof.

Murray got off to the perfect start, holding serve comfortably in the opening game before breaking Millman at the first time of asking. It appeared Murray could exploit the Australian at will, particularly his weak second serve.

However, the world No 67 broke back in the fifth game to give Murray something to think about, but the Scot responded in fine style with an immediate break back before closing out the set in routine fashion.

With the roof now closed both players seemed to initially struggle with the change in conditions, Murray's unforced error count considerably increased.

However a break in the seventh game gave Murray a 4-3 lead which he consolidated before wasting chances to break again to take the set 6-3.

Millman stayed strong to hold onto his serve but as the scoreboard flashed up news of Djokovic's exit, Murray was broken almost immediately. With the score level at 5-5, Murray broke back straight away, but only after a sixth break point and an epic exchange.

Murray served out to take the set and raced into a 4-0 lead in the third, breaking Millman in the Australian's first two service games before he finally got on the board in the fifth.

But Murray saw out the match in comfortable fashion to move into the second week with hopes high of a second Wimbledon title.

Djokovic's exit means Roger Federer or Milos Raonic are the highest remaining seeds in the top half of the draw, while Stan Wawrinka's defeat to Juan Martin Del Potro has opened up the bottom half of the draw.
