Leigh winger Adam Higson was red carded for a dangerous challenge on Gareth O'Brien during the Centurions' Magic Weekend loss to Salford.
Salford led 24-18 after 54 minutes when they threatened down the right wing through O'Brien. The full-back tried to put Kris Welham over in the corner but his pass went straight into touch, and O'Brien was then caught late and high by Higson.
After speaking with his officials, referee James Child gave Higson his marching orders.
"The tackle is both late and high. That's a red card," said Child.
