Lee Briers appointed England academy head coach

Former Warrington and Wales stand-off Lee Briers has been appointed as head coach of England's academy team.

Briers will continue as assistant coach at Warrington after taking over Andy Kelly's role in the England academy.

The appointment follows the introduction by England Rugby League's performance department of a new national performance programme to streamline the pathway below the elite squad level.
