Neil Jukes insists there is still work to do for Leigh to secure a Super League place despite beating Hull KR in the Qualifiers.

Leigh came back from 12-0 down at the Lightstream Stadium on Saturday to claim a 25-18 victory over their top-flight opposition.

It was the Championship side's fourth straight win in the Middle 8s, meaning they could be just one game away from cementing their spot in Super League next season, but Jukes admitted at one stage he thought his team would be overwhelmed by Rovers.

"I'm delighted because it's a good win but the job is not done yet," Dukes said. "At 12-0, I thought we were going to get mullered.

"We were like rabbits in headlights.

"But we had a meeting in a hotel beforehand and we knew there would be a time in the game that would test our resolve and unity as a group.

"It could have gone two ways, we could go in different directions or we stick together and pull through as one.

"They were beating us in all departments. In the last four games we did enough to hang in there.

"The bond is great and there are 27 good players playing together as one.

"Attitude in wet conditions like that is what gets you through."

Hull KR coach James Webster said his side now need to win five of their remaining games in order to avoid having to play in the Million Pound Game.

"Leigh are in box seat now but they have a tough run-in," Webster said.

"They will probably win another game so we'll have to win our remaining three games and two of them away from home.

"We knew Leigh would have purple patch and they hurt us.

"Let's not kid ourselves about what division they play in.

"There are a lot of Super League players and internationals playing in the Championship when you can spend the amount of money they now can."

Webster refused to comment on the situation surrounding half-back Albert Kelly's suspension from the team after the player returned late from a trip to Australia for personal reasons.

"I'm not dodging the question, but I'm paid to coach the players available," Webster said.

"The decision was made and he wasn't available. For more clarification on that you'd need to speak to Jamie Peacock (director of football) or Neil Hudgell (chairman)."
