"It's extremely difficult to go there," he said. "There is an outstanding home environment where the fans really get behind their team with the 'Go Pack Go!' chants.
"It's really hard, very cold out there, but it can be done as we showed them before."
As in 2008, Manning has had an inconsistent season, but is hoping to get hot for the post-season.
Odell Beckham Jr. has scored 10 touchdowns in his last 11 appearances, and the running game has improved with the emergence of rookie Paul Perkins.
The Giants defensive success has been well documented, and they could have Jason Pierre-Paul return for the divisional round if New York get through their Wild Card match up.
Green Bay have won their last six games, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers has showed impressive form, entering the conversation for regular season MVP.
The Giants have history on their side, but confidence is high in the Packers camp, setting up a hard-fought weekend finale.
